Become a CMC or LMC within your local FMC conference. Enroll in the first two classes (FMC Polity and History and Wesleyan Theology). Sit for your MEG interview. Then enroll in the 7 month Pastoral Formation Course.

The Certificate Track has three required classes.

These Classes are Offered 3x Per Year:

• PRAC 210 History and Polity of the Free Methodist Denomination

• THEO 210 Wesleyan Theology

This Class is Offered 2x Per Year:

• PRAC 211 Pastoral Ministry

At Aldersgate School of Ministry, we believe that learning is most impactful when it occurs within the context of a supportive community. Our collaboration with the Free Methodist Church fosters an environment where students can integrate theological education with practical experiences, all geared toward shaping effective leaders who will impact their congregations and communities.

As part of our partnership, our curriculum has been intentionally designed to align with the values and theological perspectives of the Free Methodist Church. With a focus on biblical theology, practical ministry skills, and an emphasis on holiness living, our course offerings provide students with a strong foundation to serve effectively within the Free Methodist Church and beyond.

Scholarships are available to FMCSC CMC’s and LMC’s with approval and recommendation from your Lead Pastor and/or MEG Board Designee.

Classes are a flat rate of $300 each, payable to Aldersgate School of Ministry. Scholarships are available for FMCSC CMC’s and LMC’s.

After you complete your FMC Certificate, you can transfer in to one of Aldersgate School of MInistry’s 2 year certificate programs that provide a pathway to Seminary. Students who complete ASOM’s 2 Year Certificate Program are eligible for 25% off tuition for a Master’s Degree at select US Seminaries.
