  • The Certificate in Lay Ministry Program Objectives:

    • To prepare lay leaders for leadership roles within their local church and broader Christian community.

    • To equip laypeople with a foundational understanding of the Christian faith, including knowledge of the Bible, church history, and Christian theology.

    • To equip current and future ministry leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead and manage church and ministry organizations.

    • To provide practical training in key areas of ministry leadership, such as vision casting, strategic planning, team building, and conflict resolution.

Aldersgate School of Ministry Classes

The Aldersgate School of Ministry is designed to provide high-quality ministry training shaped by the Wesleyan Holiness Tradition. Classes are held online, one night a week, and programs can be completed in as little as one year.

Certificate in Lay Ministry

This one-year program has 2 full terms, 1 abbreviated summer term, and 2 seminars. Each term is 15 weeks, comprised of 4 classes. 3 5-week classes and one 15-week coaching class.

All classes from the Certificate in Lay Ministry are pre-requisites for both Year 2 Ministry Certificates
